Breading ground for the next great American storyteller Joe Hall felt everyone needed the chance to be heard and tell their story. He took that vision and started the non-profit Ghetto Film School in 2000, giving teens in his South Bronx neighborhood the chance to learn about all aspects of the film making process.
Each year a small group of applicants get admitted into the fifteen-month Fellows program. The teens have gotten a chance to pitch their stories to insiders and even rub elbows with filmmakers like David O. Russell and Lee Daniels. Most importantly, they’re all getting a chance to express themselves in a creative way. (New ERA Flagbearers Project)

when you think of hip-hop these days you actually think of hip-hop... long gone are the days of big budget music videos, flashy cars and kids looking for a record deal . If you dont have your own crew, a EP coming out in the next month or a few interviews on a some independent media blog your not on according to the eyes of the new guys.... I say that to say this... you can be whatever you say you are these days as long as you put in the hard work. Never has there been a time where so many people are "ON". But only time will tell.... who will really last? We cant answer that question but thank god for Platforms like Team BackPack which allows the fans to as currency would say J.E.T.S (just enjoy this shit). This project takes every artist big or small and lets them have their time to shine. Some say this is how it should have been all along. Let the fans decide and keep the corny guys in the suits on wall street. Well we agree.... This could be why people like MTV's sway are now endorsing the project that is now in its third season.
Season 3... and yes we said SEASON 3 went off with a bang featuring 4 great artists ready to make a name for themselves. Check it out here >

SAN FRANCISCO ROAD-TRIP RECAP

the trip started of at 4am pst
things were going great then.........
thank god for AAA
made it to Bay Area Picked up our Artist T-Ran &RGLD then we head to the city
Of course there is no time like the present so we pulled out the Canon 7d and started shooting a few scenes for their New Single "Lookin For Love" off their upcoming EP "No Ordinary 9-2-5" releasing according on 9/25/11.
NEXT NIGHT: You Know we Killed The Cool Kids Show and hella represented the brand in true Rich&Rude fashion...=its a lifestyle= Literally
NEXT DAY: We spent the Day with the our homie Nio The Gift who we also did a lil product placement with check out the Rich&Rude + SNF Collab Outfit.. it just works!
AFTER THAT:We headed up north a lil more to Sacramento to check out a cool indie show with some of the Bay area's newest faces.... Jay Ant & Moe Green both had amazing performances.
And LAST: We went to the official mixtape release party for SAMM a local R&Bay signer who has the full support of some of our good friends that showed up later into the night... MR.FAB & Erk tha Jerk...Drinks Poured we had a blast.
As We headed to the Airport on the way back to SD we had to make on LAST stop in Berkeley and say whats up to our buddy LIL B... who said to tell our Rich&Rude fans "SALUTE"... all we have to say is be on the look out for our next moves with that guy he is a great dude.
