Thread Show - SAN DIEGO

Sunday Morning in San Diego was cool for many reasons. One reason that stands out above the rest was the ONE DAY ONLY indie fashion tradeshow "Thread". We got fresh; got in the car and rolled down to make our presence known. As we walked in the our interest level went for 10 to 2 in record time. Brands have got to step it up quite a bit. The t-shirt company biz "thing" is almost as over done as "I'm a Rapper" thing in the hip-hop industry. Every jo-blow that can come up with a crazy name wants to start a brand. Which eventually makes everything turn to crap. Thank god there are still some people out there with real skills and of course we took some pics.
Crow Thief is a amazing brand all done by the work one Ms. Melissa Hendrix. Her brand caught our attention simply because we love all things fresh . Simply because you can throw on one of her limited edition tailored button ups with a pair of crispy High Top Louboutin sneakers she gets "the brand of the show" award. Officially Rich&Rude.
A dope feature of the Thread Show this year was the "Art Kills Artists" Art Show. Many different types of art were on display for the art lover in all of us to simply enjoy. Here's a quick recap of what we thought you would like.

This Paper Toy Company has got to be one of the coolest new projects I have seen in a long time. Now I know people love arts and crafts but these are not just some simple paper doll project this is like Hip Hop 2.0 paper dolls with hella swag. Current Partnerships with brands like LRG & Neff are in the final stages. Don't sleep on this.... It may be a new concept but soon everyone around you will have one and we don't want to have to say we told you so.TOYGAMI ONLINE

LAST but not least we met some ladies that represent an amazing organization called Krochet Kids intl. This organization works with groups of women in Africa that hand make all the hats you see below. The profits allow for these ladies to have jobs, education and other opportunities all from our purchase of their hats. Each hat has the name of the woman who made written inside of the tag. You are able to go online and look up that name and meet the woman who you just helped. What a great cause!
